Day 1 - Yangon

Upon arrival, a warm welcome by our local guide at the arrival hall where she will assist and arrange your transfers to your selected hotel for check in. After check-in, you will be invited to a local restaurant for a sumptuous dinner.

Day 2 - Yangon - Bagan

In the morning, depart for Bagan by domestic flight. Upon arrival, begin a full day Bagan sightseeing by coach such to attractions such as Nyaung Oo market; Shwezigon Pagoda – build by king Anawahta in the early 11th century as a religious shrine; Kyansitha cave Monastery; Wetkyi-in Guvyaukkkyi – a temple with exquisite murals of Jataka scene; Temple City Gate and Lacquer ware industry. After lunch at local restaurant, continue sightseeing. See Gawawplin Temple; Anasa Temple & Oakkyaung with four huge standing Buddha images and numerous seated figures in niches around the galleried interior; Thatbyinnyu Temple, Sulamnani Temple; Damayangyi Temple. Finally, watch sunset over the Ayeyarwaddy River from Shwesandaw or Mahazedi pagoda. In the evening a dinner with puppet show await you at local restaurant.

Day 3 - Bagan-Popa-Bagan

(Optional: At sunrise, take a magical ride on the balloon as you glide quietly over the Ayeyarwaddy plain and the thousands of temples. This has to be the highlight of all trips to Myanmar! Cost is at USD 275/ – per person. Due to popular demand and limited seats, advance booking is strongly recommended. (Operates from Oct through Mar only)

This morning, make an excursion to Mt. Popa which rose from the ground in a massive earthquake in 442 BC. Mt. Popa is famous as the abode of the Nats (Spirit Gods) and for its panoramic view of the local tropical region. On the way to Mt. Popa, visit a toddy palm juice production plant.

In the afternoon, visit a lacquer-ware factory.

(Optional 1:As the day wanes, you will take a horse cart ride through the temples to Bupaya, a Pyu-style stupa which is located right on the banks of the Ayeyarwaddy River and from where you begin a scenic boat ride ending at Lawkananda Pagoda, a riverside stupa where you can catch another magnificent sunset).

(Optional 2: If you prefer a less sedate vacation, it is a wonderful experience to cycle through the maze of temples at your own pace and finding your favorite temple amidst the thousands scattered all over the plains.).

Day 4 - Bagan - Mandalay

After breakfast, take a morning flight to Mandalay – the old and historic capital of Myanmar’s last kingdom and their monarchs, be treated to a full day of sightseeing by coach. Tour highlights includes Gold leaf Hammering, Mandalay’s Mahamuni pagoda (It also known as Payagyi (big paya) or Rakhaing Paya)- with its spectacular Buddha image completely covered in 15 cm thick layers of gold leaf, it is a must see on your [email protected] Lunch at a Burmese local restaurant will brighten and energies all. Your exclusive tour continues with a visit Myanmar’s acients monarch’s Royal Palace. Another must visit is the Shwenandaw Monastery-noted for its exquisite wood carvings, Atumashi Monastery and Kuthodaw pagoda-known as the world’s largest book with its 729 slabs of Marble engrave with Buddha scriptures. The evening ends with a breathing view offered at Mandalay Hill, where almost all locals come fro a panoramic of the city. Another sumptuous dinner is prepared for you at a local restaurant. Day 5 - Mandalay – Amarapura – Mingun – Mandalay

After a hearty breakfast this morning, visit the Jade Market for some shopping before proceeding to Amarapura – an ancient capital built exclusively at the advice of royal astrologers. Tour highlights are Mahagandayon Monastery – where you may witness and experience the daily lives of the monks studying Buddha`s scriptures. U Bein`s Bridge – 1.2km long wooden bridge built over 200 years ago is also a must see! Wood, Bronze and Marble Carvings and Castling villages awaits you. After lunch, a delightful boat trip to Mingun where the world largest ringing bell awaits you. Sightseeing Mingun Bell and Pahtodawgyi unfinished Pagoda offers first hand the rich culture and history Myanmar has to offer. Evening arrives and enjoy the sunset view of the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River & Middle Yoma from the roof of the boat. Dinner will be at a local restaurant that is sure to whet your appetite. Day 6 - Mandalay – Heho – Pindaya – Kalaw

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, leave Mandalay for Heho by domestic flight and then transfer to Pindaya by coach. Lunch at the local restaurant. After lunch, sightseeing highlights include the scenic lake and Pindaya Caves – unique for the thousands of Buddha images placed there by pilgrims over many centuries, traditional Shan Paper and Umbrella Making villages. Then, drive to Kalaw, beautiful pine clad hill station, and enjoy walking tour in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Kalaw.

Day 7 - Kalaw – Inle Lake

After breakfast, leave for Inle Lake and drive about 1 hr to Nyaung Shwe, the gateway to the unique and magical Inle Lake, which is located 1,328 meters above sea level and is 22km long and 11km wide. And visit the famous Inle Lake where you will begin on a full day excursion by boat on Lake Inle. This includes sights of the famous leg-rowers, typical floating gardens, local methods of fishing and village life. Visit the local floating market and Phaungdawoo Pagoda. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, continue sightseeing the weaving village of Inpawkhon and Ngaphekyaung Monastery. Dinner and overnight at Golden Island Cottages.

Day 8 - Inle – Indein – Inle

Breakfast at the hotel. After b’fast, the guide could take you to Indein where you would visit a market and some villages. An easy 2-3 hour hike further inland would let you discover some monastic ruins. A boat at the other end would fetch back to your resort Golden Island Cottages.

Day 9 Inle Lake – Heho – Yangon

After breakfast leave Inle for Heho by coach and then transfer to Yangon by domestic flight. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, begin Yangon half day sightseeing with visit to Chaukhtatgyi pagoda a colossal reclining Buddha, followed by Gem Souvenir Centre and factory. Finally, proceed to Bogyoke (Scott) Market you have time to browse among the hundreds of stalls for souvenir bargains. In the evening, visit the revered Shwedagon – a 2500 years old world famous stupa, Dinner at local restaurant. Overnigth in Yangon.

Day 10 Departure

After breakfast in hotel, transfer to airport for flight back to your next destination.
