Day 1 - Arrival
Upon arrival, a warm welcome by our local guide at the arrival hall where she will assist and arrange your transfers to your selected hotel for check in. After check-in, you will be invited to a local restaurant for a sumptuous dinner.
Day 2- Yangon – Kyaikhtiyo
After breakfast, embark on an eye opening and enjoyable excursion by road and absorb in the rustic beauty of Myanmar, 190 km east of Yangon to Kyaikhtiyo. A simple lunch is prepared and served at a local restaurant. After lunch, be prepared to catch the grandiose of the moment of the magnificent and famous famous Golden Rock, a huge boulder completely covered by gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. An incredible feat of nature! On top of this boulder is a glided pagoda, said to hold a strand of hair belonging to Buddha. Pilgrims walk along the twisting 10km. Enjoy a walk on the footpath through a bamboo forests, but tourists can travel to the rock by small open trucks, taking one hour. Make sure you catch and savour the beauty of the scenery before proceeding for dinner at local restaurant. The evening ends with an overnight stay at Golden Rock Hotel or Mountaion Top Hotel.
Day 3 - KYAIKHTIYO – BAGO – YANGON
After a simple hot breakfast, continue by road 110km to Bago. On the way, excursion highlights to Bago include; a revered Chinese Kuan Im Temple and Bago Market. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, return to Yangon, enroute, visit and experience history at the World War II Allied War Grave cemetery near HTAUKKYANT. Scrumptious dinner at local restaurant awaits you and a clean and luxurious room awaits your tired body for a well deserved rest at your hotel
Day 4 - Yangon - Bagan
In the morning, depart for Bagan by domestic flight. Upon arrival, begin a full day Bagan sightseeing by coach such to attractions such as Nyaung Oo market; Shwezigon Pagoda – build by king Anawahta in the early 11th century as a religious shrine; Kyansitha cave Monastery; Wetkyi-in Guvyaukkkyi – a temple with exquisite murals of Jataka scene; Temple City Gate and Lacquer ware industry. After lunch at local restaurant, continue sightseeing. See Gawawplin Temple; Anasa Temple & Oakkyaung with four huge standing Buddha images and numerous seated figures in niches around the galleried interior; Thatbyinnyu Temple, Sulamnani Temple; Damayangyi Temple. Finally, watch sunset over the Ayeyarwaddy River from Shwesandaw or Mahazedi pagoda. In the evening a dinner with puppet show await you at local restaurant.
(Optional 1:As the day wanes, you will take a horse cart ride through the temples to Bupaya, a Pyu-style stupa which is located right on the banks of the Ayeyarwaddy River and from where you begin a scenic boat ride ending at Lawkananda Pagoda, a riverside stupa where you can catch another magnificent sunset).
(Optional 2: If you prefer a less sedate vacation, it is a wonderful experience to cycle through the maze of temples at your own pace and finding your favorite temple amidst the thousands scattered all over the plains.).
Day 5 - Bagan - Mandalay
After breakfast, take a morning flight to Mandalay – the old and historic capital of Myanmar’s last kingdom and their monarchs, be treated to a full day of sightseeing by coach. Tour highlights includes Gold leaf Hammering, Mandalay’s Mahamuni pagoda (It also known as Payagyi (big paya) or Rakhaing Paya)- with its spectacular Buddha image completely covered in 15 cm thick layers of gold leaf, it is a must see on your [email protected] Lunch at a Burmese local restaurant will brighten and energies all. Your exclusive tour continues with a visit Myanmar’s acients monarch’s Royal Palace. Another must visit is the Shwenandaw Monastery-noted for its exquisite wood carvings, Atumashi Monastery and Kuthodaw pagoda-known as the world’s largest book with its 729 slabs of Marble engrave with Buddha scriptures. The evening ends with a breathing view offered at Mandalay Hill, where almost all locals come fro a panoramic of the city. Another sumptuous dinner is prepared for you at a local restaurant. Day 6 - Mandalay
After a hearty breakfast this morning, visit the Jade Market for some shopping before proceeding to Amarapura – an ancient capital built exclusively at the advice of royal astrologers. Tour highlights are Mahagandayon Monastery – where you may witness and experience the daily lives of the monks studying Buddha`s scriptures. U Bein`s Bridge – 1.2km long wooden bridge built over 200 years ago is also a must see! Wood, Bronze and Marble Carvings and Castling villages awaits you. After lunch, a delightful boat trip to Mingun where the world largest ringing bell awaits you. Sightseeing Mingun Bell and Pahtodawgyi unfinished Pagoda offers first hand the rich culture and history Myanmar has to offer. Evening arrives and enjoy the sunset view of the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River & Middle Yoma from the roof of the boat. Dinner will be at a local restaurant that is sure to whet your appetite. Overnight in Mandalay.
Day 7 - Mandalay – Heho – Kakku – Taung Gyi
After breakfast, leave Mandalay for heho by domestic flight and then transfer to Kakku by coach. After lunch, take a walk around t he many stupa and pagodas of kakku and enjoy the serene surroundings. Commissioned by King Asoka approximately 2000 years ago, there are 2478 pagodas in this place, After this, visit to the Myanmar Independence Pagoda, which is modeled after rge famous Ananda Temple in Bagan. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 - Inle Lake
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before traveling to the famous Inle Lake where you will begin on a full day excursion by boat on Lake Inle. This includes sights of the famous leg-rowers, typical floating gardens, local methods of fishing and village life. Visit the local floating market and Phaungdawoo Pagoda. Lunch. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, continue sightseeing the weaving village of Inpawkhon and Ngaphekyaung Monastery. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 Inle Lake – Heho – Yangon
After breakfast leave inle for Heho by coach and then transfer to Yangon by domestic flight. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, After lunch at local restaurant, begin Yangon half day sightseeing with visit to Chaukhtatgyi pagoda a colossal recling Buddha, followed by a local glass blowing factory and Gem Souvenir Centre and factory. Finally, proceed to Bogyoke (Scott)Market you have time to browse among the hundreds of stalls for souvenir bargains. In the evening, visist the revered Shwedagon – a 2500 years old world famous stupa, Dinner at local restaurant. Overnigth in Yangon.
Day 10 Departure Yangon
After breakfast in hotel, transfer to airport for flight back to your next destination.
