Mrauk U

Mrauk U, a centre for one of Myanmar’s most powerful kingdom was founded in 1430. It lays the banks of Aungdat Chaung, a tributary of the Kaladan River, 72 km from the coast. The two earlier kingdoms in the area are Danyawady (circa 1st to 6th centuries) and Wethali (3rd to 10th centuries), the remains of which are still visible to the north. Mrauk U is look like another place of Bagan, where there is a host of ancient pagodas
